I make amazing green bean casserole. Sept 7

I have been dreaming about green bean casserole for a while now. So i decided to give it a go and make a nice home cooked meal. I did a regular green bean casserole recipe but i added big chunks of mushrooms and bacon into it. Needless to say it was a hit. I also made some garlic chive mashed potatoes, broccoli cheese rice and a rosemary-lemon pepper pork chop. I still have left overs, i think i'm gonna hit them up after i'm done posting...

PAPOULI'S San Antonio Sept. 3

Christy took me to Papouli's, a Greek Restaurant in San Antonio. I have never had Greek but i'm pretty much game for any type of food. I had a traditional plate with Steak and Gyro skewers. I must admit, the only thing i didnt like on this place was the olives and the yellow pepper. Everything else was delishh! I had never tried gyro meat but i think it is one of my favorites now. That little white creamy stuff in the middle was a bit confusing at first, i couldn't tell if i liked it or not but then i decided i did. It was some sort of creamy, lightly cheesy dip with i believe garlic and cucumber. I used it to dip my pita bread in it and it seemed to work out for me. The cheese on the salad was also really tasty. I couldn't figure out what kind of cheese it was, i mean its not like i know cheeses, but it def wasnt like bleu cheese or fetta cheese(which i would otherwise expect on greek) Overall, i really enjoyed my first taste of greek. The only letdown was that my pellegrino was not cold. Oh yea, i'm also on a mineral water kick right now and i like to try different ones. Pellegrino and Perrier are kind of my dailies. Topo Chicho is gross and way too gassy, i feel like the gas bubbles are bigger if that is even possible... but i digress. Papuoli's Try it!

Oldies but goodies...

So i have always enjoyed taking pictures of my food, so much that most of the time my phone memory is full of them. I finally have somewhere to put them without deleting them!
My usual breakfast when i was in undergrad. Fast, Cheap, somewhat healthy. I was on this fruit salad trip for a while...not so much now. Redbull has always been in my life somehow but especially during morning classes when all your friends are alcoholics and like to go out every night.
I die for ceviche! Angela and I always enjoy raw fish. We could probably survive in a desert island for months if we could catch fish. Wanna Wanna's ceviche in SPI is my favorite... even though they get tons of demerits from the food police. Still, it's amazinnggg!
I'm obsessed with sushi. One rolls that i miss from back home (brownsville, tx) is the Orgasmo roll at Uchi. In the picture, it is the one on the bottom. Sooo Goood! It has shrimp, salmon on top i think and eel sauce... I LOVE eel sauce...so sweet and delicious...but i bet eels dont really taste that way...i guess i'll have to find out sometime...
Chipotle is another personal favorite. Anytime they pile on ingredients into a huge meal for relatively little money, i'm there! My favorite chipotle burrito is chicken with rice beans corn and i forget which salsa cuz one is like ridiculously hot even for my mexican taste buds...This is probably THE best burger i have concocted with my own two little hands. I didnt have bacon so i put bacon bits, but other that that it was pretty amazing. I love my burgers with the works... the more toppings the better...

So these are some of my oldies but goodies. Can't wait for my next meal :)
